Experienced attorney Joe Dinolfo is running for New York State Supreme Court in the Seventh Judicial District, which covers Cayuga, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne and Yates Counties.
With over 30 years of experience as an attorney, Joe is deeply committed to upholding the integrity of the judicial system. Aside from his extensive professional qualifications, he is a dedicated husband, father and 20-year volunteer firefighter with the Egypt Fire Department.
“I’m running for State Supreme Court to serve the people of the Seventh Judicial District with integrity, fairness and respect,” said Dinolfo upon announcing his candidacy in March. “My decades of experience in the courtroom and service in our community have prepared me well for the conflicts that arise every day in State Supreme Court.”
For the past 14 years, Joe Dinolfo has served the New York State Appellate Division, 4th Department, representing cognitively disadvantaged individuals involved with civil litigation. In this role, he regularly handles cases throughout the eight counties of the Seventh Judicial District and beyond.
From 1993 to 2011, Joe operated his own law practice, handling countless cases in family, criminal and civil litigation. He also served as a Hearing Examiner for the City of Rochester.
Joe Dinolfo’s extensive experience in criminal, civil and mental hygiene law, coupled with his longstanding service as a volunteer firefighter, uniquely qualifies him to serve as a New York State Supreme Court Justice.
Born in Rochester, NY, Joe is a first generation American. He and his two sisters attended Elementary School #43 before later graduating from Gates-Chili High School. Joe earned his Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Buffalo, Master’s Degree in Public Administration from SUNY Brockport, and Law Degree from the University of Dayton.
Joe lives in Fairport with his wife, Nathalie, where they’re raising their three daughters. He is a Republican and is running on the Republican and Conservative ballot lines.
There will be two Supreme Court seats up for election in the Seventh Judicial District this year. The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Early Voting will be available from October 25 to November 2. Absentee Ballots are also available for those who request them.
